Ryan’s professional career began in 2009 after earning a finance degree from the University of Windsor. Before pursuing his accounting designation, he launched his own window cleaning business, served in the Canadian Armed Forces (where he received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal), and worked at a local accounting firm in Victoria, BC. It was at this firm that Ryan discovered his passion for providing exceptional service to owner-managed businesses.
In 2018, Ryan completed his practical experience and earned his CPA designation at a mid-sized firm. During this time, he continued to focus on owner-managed businesses but expanded his client base to include mid-sized private companies, First Nation communities, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations. Ryan has extensive experience in financial reporting under ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS.
Beyond accounting services, Ryan offers valuable tax planning and advisory services for private companies and their shareholders, focusing on tax savings opportunities and enhancing accounting systems and internal controls.
Ryan is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and the Chartered Professional Accountants of NWT/NU. In 2019, he earned the Certified Fraud Examiner designation, and in 2023, he successfully completed the prestigious In-Depth Tax Program offered by CPA Canada.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and coaches his son’s local minor hockey team, contributing to the community and supporting youth sports.
